EVERYDAY ACRES

ABOUT

Picture
Hi, I’m Maria! I started Everyday Acres in 2016 after years of planning, preparing and conniving a way to start a farm of my own. I was very lucky and was able to start my farm on 6.5 acres in Granville, Ohio, where I specialize in the production of rare livestock breeds. I breed and raise Red Dorking chickens, one of the oldest recorded breeds of domesticated chicken, for meat, eggs, and to improve and continue the breed. I also raise Guernsey goats, a rare breed of dairy goat descended from the Golden Guernsey goats of the Channel Islands.

The gratitude I feel for every day I am able to live and work in this beautiful place led me to name it Everyday Acres. I am so grateful for the animals I am able to raise humanely and lovingly for my supportive community. Everyday Acres also supports other small and local businesses by making our best effort to purchase feed and other goods locally.
