Chicken Eggs

These chicken eggs are from our free-range hens. Thanks to our livestock guardian dogs deterring predators, I can keep the barn door open all day and night so they come and go as they please. Fed non-GMO grains grown and mixed by Berry Family Farm in Pleasantville, Ohio.

Our eggs are also available at:
City Folks Farm Shop
4760 North High Street
Columbus, Ohio 43214
Ross' Granville Market
484 S. Main Street
Granville, Ohio 43023
Whole Frozen Chicken

These chickens are what your grandparents ate! Before the 1950's the chickens Americans ate were still standard breeds instead of the Cornish Crosses that are designed to be raised in industrial indoor conditions, slaughtered at 6-8 weeks old. Our chickens take longer to grow and are processed at around 3-4 months old. This also means they need to be cooked low and slow to be tender.  Our Red Dorkings are bred, hatched, raised and processed at our farm. These are sustainable birds.
Red Dorking Chicks and Hatching Eggs
Want some Red Dorkings for your own flock? We sell straight run chicks (non-sexed, so you will receive male and female chicks). Delivery is available within a reasonable distance. Shipping is available at additional cost. Shoot me an email to inquire about availability.

If we are lucky, new Guernsey goats are born every year! Contact us to check on due dates and availability. We will also occasionally have adult goats for sale. You can also read about the members of our herd on our Goatzz website.
Herd Share

A herd share allows you to buy shares of a milking animal or herd and pay the farmer to care for the animals and milk them. As owners, the shareholders are entitled to the milk from their own animals. Everyday Acres offers on-farm pickup or delivery of milk, depending on what is negotiated between the herd share owner and the farmer. Shares are sold based on an expected milk volume. For example, “one share” entitles the holder to one gallon of milk per week. Owners can buy the number of shares they need to ensure the milk supply they want. We offer quarter, half, and whole shares of our Guernsey goat herd.
Below, you can download the PDF Membership forms and begin the process of becoming a member of our herd share! If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me and I will get back to you as soon as I can.
